This is to inform all the aspirants of the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma that AAU Cut Off Mark For 2018/2019 Academic Session has been released by the management of the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma (AAU ).

What Is Cut Off Mark

For those who don’t already know what cut off mark is; This session will explain what cut off mark is and why Universities use it for admission.

Cut off mark or Cut off Point is a minimum Mark required from candidates by a particular school (Universities, Polytechnics or Colleges of Education) in order for them to qualify or to participate in the School‘s Post-UTME Screening exercise.

Or it can also be seen as the minimum point a student applying for admission must attain in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME or JAMB) and or Post-Utme/Screening Exercise in order to be considered for admission into a particular school.

AAU JAMB Cut Off Mark (General Cut Off Mark)

AAU JAMB Cut off mark is the minimum score required from candidates who applied for admission into the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma (AAU ).

Before candidates can qualify to sit for or write AAU post-UTME exam, they are required to have passed the minimum JAMB Score set by the school.

Note: JAMB has released the Cut off mark that will be applicable to candidates who are applying for admission into the Universities in Nigerian to be 140 while Polytechnics are 120 and so forth.

The Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma (AAU ) cut off mark as at 2017/2018 academic session (last year) which may still apply for this year 2018/2019 academic session is 175. If it doesn’t apply for this year, we will update the cut off mark once the official cut off mark has been published by the management.

The cut off mark posted above will apply for all the courses in AAU unless otherwise stated by the management.

We are going to update this session’s cut off mark when it has been released by the management of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

AAU Departmental Cut Off Mark

Unlike JAMB Cut off Mark, AAU Departmental Cut Mark is the minimum score required from candidates who participated in the AAU Post-UTME Screening exercise in other for them to be considered for admission into the department they are applying to.

Candidates are to note that passing the Departmental cut off mark is not a straight ticket for admission. other factors are also considered.

Since the 2018/2019 Post-UTME Screening exercise is yet to be conducted, the departmental cut off mark for this year will not be available just yet.

However, the AAU General Departmental Cut off Mark can be used as a reference and we are going to update it below.

Medicine – 250 and Above
Law – 240 and Above

Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical,Electrical,Civil,Computer, etc) – 220 and Above

Physical Science Courses (Industrial Chemistry, Industrial Physics, Computer Science, Geology, ect – 190 and Above

Biological Sciences (Microbiology, Biochemistry, Anatomy,etc)-190 and above

Note: The AAU Ekpoma Departmental cut off mark shown above are the minimum point or mark and are not exactly the cut off mark for each of the courses shown above.
Also, cut off mark for each varies depending on the performance of candidates who applied to study in the school for that year.
In this regard, AAU Ekpoma Cut off mark for all departments will be available later after the screening exercise for the school has been conducted.

However, the Cut off mark used for last year’s admission has been shown below to help you what to anticipate.
